PRESENTATION OF THE INSTITUTE AHMAD SAKHIR LÔ IN BOUNE 

The institute Ahmed Sakhir LÔ in Boune for memorizing the Koran and the teaching of science of the Shariah is created  on the 25 of  May  1995 by Cheikh Mouhamadou Niang . It's  named after Sheikh Ahmed Sakhir LÔ, the founder of the Islamic Institute in  Coki, who taught and educated  Cheikh Mouhamadou Niang

It is located in the suburbs of Dakar precisely in the village of  Boune  in the department of Pikine. Among its structures annexes are: the Koranic school named  "Médinatoul Mounnawara" and the Franco-Arabic school named Tafsir Banda NIANG. The institute gathers boarding school boys and girls of various nationalities  from the African  sourounding  countries, Europe and USA.

 

Its mission is to make the Muslim children memorize the entire Koran  and educate them in the values of the Qur'an and the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) so that they can take care of themselves and be useful to their society.

 

The number of students who had memorized the Koran form 1995 to 2008 is a successful indicator  in the achievement of  this mission. This is the yearly  board of the  students who had  memorized the Koran since 1995:

Of Note: For numbers of the pupils having remembered the Koran in 2010, meeting is given to the approach of the Holiday of Aïd el Kébir which coincides with the holiday of the end of year of the institute.
